Arguments Against Birth Control

All too often, we, as teenagers believe that we not only know better, but that we know best. This has been proven to be untrue time and time again. When given the controversial topic of birth control in said teens, it is clear to indicate that the distribution and permission of birth control without parental consent is detrimental not only to the teen it is being given to, but our society as well. Nowadays, birth control is seen as a very controversial topic—given it accounts for the protection against unwanted pregnancies or perhaps a regulation in hormones. The oral contraceptive was introduced to the world in late 1960s. this pill would allow for the individual to have sexual relations without the worry of getting pregnant; of course this seems too convenient and reliable to be true, but that’s exactly why it should be avoided in teens throughout the nation. Amongst giving teens a false sense of reality, promoting sexual activity in young adults, and destroying a body’s regulation along with menstruation, this pill—given the mental and physical development one would experience—birth control administration would be an even more detrimental step to a young girls body.
Allowing for teens to be administered birth control without the consent of their parents would give them an illusion that contraception is the only way and the best way to protect themselves

The statistics are as real as the consequences—giving teens less and less room for growing (mentally and physically.) Not only could we diminish the number of people infected with STDs, but we could also protect and promise a safe and fertile future without the need of contraceptives in teens. Teens are young, naïve and innocent one must protect the integrity of these said teens to further protect their future; parental consent must be given because after all, parents know best since they’ve been in your shoes longer than you
