In the literary work Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger the reader is introduced to a troubled boy named Holden Caulfield that is suffering from depression. The song that represents Holden is “We Own it” by Wiz Khalifa featuring 2 Chainz. Holden is suffering from depression because Allie died even though he was an innocent kid and he said that he would rather take Allie’s place. These signs show Holden is pessimistic himself. Holden is suffering from depression so signs for this are suicidal thoughts or actions. The lyrics for this are, “I never feared death or dying” (l.14). Because Holden doesn’t fear of death so he says, “I’m sort of glad they’ve got the atomic bomb invented. If there’s ever another war, I’m going to sit right on top it. I’ll volunteer for it; I swear to God I will (141). This is showing that with Allie gone he has nothing to live for so to make himself useful he wants to commit suicide. However, he is also a constant liar he says he is a pacifist but fights. He also says that, “I felt like praying or something, when I was in bed, but I couldn’t do it. I can’t always pray when I feel like it. In the first place, I’m sort of an atheist” (99). This is showing that Holden is lying and that he doesn’t know if he is telling the truth or not. And on line 17 they sing, “Only God can judge me”. These lyrics are showing that even though he is atheist God can still judge Holden. Finally, Holden is lonely so to pass the time he tries to go to

TO Kill a Mocking Bird Essay
In the novel "To Kill a Mocking Bird" courage is displayed by several characters in many different and unique ways. Singer writes, what if other people had
expensive cars and also decided to let the child die, then would it make it ok to justify
Bob's actions just because he is just following a trend. How can he use such examples
and make us think whether is ok or not to follow trends. Last time I checked we don’t

Wouldn't you? After all, Bob's winning the argument. However, as
soon as Bob responds, as soon as he tries to prove that he is too

worked. They've stopped arguing about trying suspects in federal
court and started arguing about how macho Pete is.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc (faulty cause and effect)
Most of the time, you can just call this a “post hoc.”…
Fast Food Globalization
Some people get confused when they hear the word, globalization. What is it? Globalization is a modern term used to describe the changes in societies and the world economy that result from dramatically increased international trade and cultural exchange. That means the world is slowly becoming one by producing goods and services in one part of the world, only to share it on an international level. This is a deeply controversial issue, however. Proponents of globalization…
Are we born with hatred? Do we come out of the womb with derogatory terms for
women flying out of our mouths? Is a baby born with hatred towards African Americans so
deep down in its heart that it cannot rid itself of that hatred, do babies have hate crimes
against Americans running through its heads? The answer is no. A child is born innocent.
Young children have no discrimination, no racism, no ideas that would cause other beings to
be harmed. So then why are we, as adult humans, plagued by…
