The United States of America has long contained a continual struggle against the enemies of the system, while still authorizing the ‘free trade’ mentality in which our country was founded upon. The increase in border security over the past 14 years is not something that would be considered existential within our current society. On September 11, 2001 the United States of America was attacked. The attacks were originated internally, however, have resulted in a re-classification of border patrol being a state and federally subsidized portion of the government, to a requested “52%”1 of the Congressional Budget in FY13. With the different effects being implied through the Department of Homeland Security along with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, it is simple to see that the side of caution is being used so as to attempt to thwart any further attacks on U.S. soil since the attacks of September 11, 2001. The question remains as to whether the implications derived from such an attack are better for border security at all, especially in regards to the U.S. Mexico border. Does a higher budget reply in a higher security level, or has the human concept become such a ramification that the U.S. government is having trouble adapting? Does the budget not equate to the proper allocation of funding in order to ensure our border security? Where does our security lie, is it within the stoppage of drugs, or the stoppage of personnel? There are many unanswered questions within the U.S. border protection agency and the Department of Homeland Security, and it is without a doubt a question of global security that we will find the answer. The United states and its allies, is inclined to protect its borders through proper mitigation techniques founded through future research and proper search and seizure methods implied globally, not just on the home
