Both passages compare because in Langston Hughes mother to son he shows a lot of emotions in his sentences. Then in Kevin A Williams If this world were mine, he also showed a lot of emotions in his poems too. For example in Mother to son, it is a boy and his mother. The mother is explaining how her life has been rough and that she doesn’t want him to go through the same so she tells him that he still has to keep on going and by saying that she tells him that she hasn’t stopped either. Another example is in If the world were mine, there is a picture that shows a mother with her son playing with a ball explaining no matter what happen even if bad or good things are going to happen. To also compare these two poems they both mention a child and
