One cold winter day I was walking home from school and it was raining cats and dogs. It’s been two weeks now since I’ve been asking my parents for a dog. My parents did not like the idea of getting a dog. They though I wasn’t responsible enough. Suddenly, I looked to my left and saw a box on the side of the road. Coming from the box was a loud whining sound. I was curious to see what was in it. To my surprise, what I saw in the box was a puppy as white as snow.
Even though it was a dark and gloomy day in my eyes the puppy was glowing because I was so happy I came across it. I picked up the puppy and stared into its icy blue eyes. I knew my parents didn’t want a puppy, but I could not leave this puppy alone in the rain all by itself. I carried it in my arms all the way home. I was afraid my parents would not let me keep the poor puppy. I was really happy that I found it.
Once my mom got home I approached her with the puppy in my arms. My mom looked at the puppy surprised. I looked at my mom
“ Can I keep it?” I said with a smile on my face
“ You will have to ask you dad” my mom replied carelessly
After I asked my mom, my dad came home. I was very nervous to ask him. I walked up to him and asked
“ May I please keep it?” I said
“I suppose but you have to take very good care of it” he replied
I was very shocked, yet so happy. I knew I had to show my dad that I was responsible enough to keep and care for the dog.
