Everyone goes through difficult obstacles within their lifetime and usually tends to blame them in which has no fault in whatever they are facing. For example, majority of people put the blame on outer circumstances such as, “It’s because of the family, class race, society, or culture into which I was born!” They use these components as why their life as it is and allow them to take over. In Ayn Rand’s Anthem, Equality 7-2521 is the main character of the story who conveys an example of how he allows most of his life blaming his hardships on meaningless things.
