The novel, Anthem, includes many thought provoking and deep ideas. In the novel, the main character, Equality 7-2521, dwells in a city where individualism has been eradicated, with everything now being part of a collectivism society. Equality is different from his brothers, and therefore does not believe that collectivism is right in the society. He evetuallys flees and starts his own family and society with The Golden One, a girl who he is in love with. The society Equality intends to create is virtually the exact opposite of the society in the city, and puts an emphasis on individualism.
