In chapters two and three of Ayn Rand’s Anthem, equality is twisted, ridding the people of their individuality. The government’s warped idea of equality is not accurate. The government thinks equality is forcing everyone to live a life handed to them and not speak their opinions. In reality, equality is giving everyone a chance to express themselves and do what they excel at. By taking away individuality, the people are forced to live a life with no hope to aspire to be great. Unfortunately, the government seems to have hidden this from them, and the people are not even aware of what they are missing out on.
