Equality In Ayn Rand's Anthem

Have you ever been tired of having too many rules at home or at school? In the book anthem they all live under a dystopian society. This society everyone lives in has numerous rules and control as that happen to be very strict. What you think might be strict for people now is nothing compared to what the characters in this novel had to deal live with in there everyday lives. Equality is the main character in this novel and he has constantly had to deal with all the rules of the collectivist society. Now that he has the chance to make his own society away from all of that there is no way he would carry any of the rules from that society into the a new one.
Now when the idea of absolute power comes to mind a main assumption would be something related to a dictatorship. That was not the case in anthem, the characters in the novel had a collectivist system. Their main beliefs were things like everyone was equal everyone must think the same and act the same. “It is a sin to think no words no other think” (1). From statements like this notice how it was really strict but this was not all that was holding equality

Reason being he knows they would not be well developed and he doesn’t believe that system worked and he wants to make it so everyone can have opportunities to do what they want. Equality states that him and his sons will rebuild and make it stronger and they will go back and get all of those that are not too far gone (114). He will just try to convert everyone over from that society to his since he believes that it just doesn't work. One of the main reasons and turning points where he realized this was when he ran away from that society after trying to help they did not want to advance they did not want to let anyone learn or become better making it impossible to climb the social pyramid this is why he will change society so
