During the Red Scare of 1919 a series of violent events occurred. The Red Scare took hold of the United States after World War I. At the time of World War I there were nine million people that worked in the war industries. There were also 60,000 workers in Seattle areas that went on strike on February 6. The strikers were immediately labeled as Reds, and they tried to incite revolution that was leveled against them. Hysteria struck the city such as grocery stores and pharmacies, and they were flooded with water because of the people that worked in there were frightened because they were trying to survive the strike. The first attack happened in NYC with the streets full of people when they heard a loud crash. Almost every hour there were airplanes that would crash into the trade centers and it was very shocking to the people of the United States. After an hour the twin towers had collapsed and the air was field with dust and all kinds of stuff and metal falling. Because of this attack it had cost them $3 trillion dollars in total damage and $10 billion in property damage. This day of September was a bad day for firemen and policemen, because some lost their lives trying to save others. Why the people in New York were trying to keep everyone safe and watch as the towers burned, the pentagon in Washington, DC had been hit also. Luckily there was only one plane that had hit the pentagon, but it still was a tragic sight to see. This attack was the biggest attack that the United States had ever encountered. President Bush had addressed the nation of the United States Congress regarding the events that happened on September 11. Many funds were immediately set up for the victims of the attacks with financial assistance for the survivors of the attacks and to the families of the victims. On September 11 of 2003 there were tons of applications that were received from families that lost their loved ones. After the attacks president Bush had made a public appearance at Washington’s biggest
