Greed is not a good thing. It is powerful and could ruin your life. Greed is intense and selfish desire for something especially wealth and power. If you are full of greed you might be grumpy or mad all the time and it could change your life forever. In the story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens it shows this happen to a man named Scrooge. Scrooge was a grumpy old man he was very greedful. The similarities and differences in this story although there are few are the character past, present, and future. In the play of A Christmas Carol Scrooge was a lonely old greedful man he thought christmas was all just a big Bah -Humbug (Dickens 3). Marley was a ghost that came to his house to tell him to stop being so greedful. Scrooge was always mean. Scrooge was a grumpy old man that did not care about families or anyone at all, all he cared about was him. He also did not like christmas he also thought that christmas was a Bah- Humbug (film 1984). His spirits showed him around from the past, present, and future. He saw all the people he worked with and their families including his brother. his brother and Mr. Cratchit and his family talked mean about Mr. Scrooge and did not like him at all. Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit talked about how they don’t like Mr. Scrooge and that he doesn't get paid enough. Future shows Scrooge his grave. Scrooge woke up in his bed asking for a second chance (film1984). Scrooge finally started to have a christmas spirit. He sent a boy to go get a big turkey and if he could do it in less than five minutes that he would pay him more.
