There were many assignments and activities throughout the semester that significantly improved my growth as a writer and critical thinker. Although there were many experiences that were really stressful, and at times seemed impossible, I feel like the majority of my struggles throughout ENG 302 were beneficial to the development of my business writing skills. In order to demonstrate how this class helped me more specifically I will analyze the semester based upon the different assignment sections required for the class. Career – Position

Looking back to all of the assignments I have done in this course I can honestly say that I have gained some great information that will change my outlook about writing. Before my enrollment to this course I had no idea what made business writing different from writing in general. After doing the first assignment, which was the different between academic and business; I came to realization that indeed there were major differences. Although I struggled with English writing in general I find the concepts of this course very helpful. …show more content…
Although it is hard for me sometimes to understand and purpose of my paper and who my targeted audiences are I came to understand that in order to be an effective writing I must know who are my audiences are. For my first official assignment the formal report one. That I would agree that I have struggled with it the most because it was my first nonacademic writing paper. First, I wasted so much time thinking it through that I did not have time to write the necessary requirements. I feel that I was not serious at first because I did not see the big deal that would make this different from all of my other writings. After receiving my first grade I realize some of the things that I needed to change if I wanted to become better in this class or in writing. By learning how to manage my time and understanding the materials I feel that I have improved in that level.

Content knowledge
During this semester I have learned multiple things in my class English 302. I have learned different writing methods, different forms of MLA formatting, and how to find and appropriately use different sources. Through class exercises and writing the different types of papers I was able to learn those skills. Although I have learned variety of things my skills when it comes for writing I know that I still need improvement. Skills such as proper grammar and MLA format still
