Electrical engineering Nature of the work: Electrical engineers design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and electrical tools components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. They work on following: the building industry and services, including lighting, heating and ventilation; transportation and transport networks; manufacturing and construction;
Production and distribution of power.
As well as having technical knowledge, electrical engineers need to be able to project manage and multitask. They also need to have awareness. Additional quality such as team leadership or management skills, are required as careers progress.
Skills and Abilities: There some common and some uncommon skills for electrical engineering.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
Technology Design - Generating or adapting technology to serve user needs.
Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Working conditions: Working hours is job-specific but typically is around 40 hours a week. They give more hours for work; I love my work and money. I may need to work extra and resolve design difficulties. Some jobs offer flexible working. I able to work on located in a production plant, workshop, office, laboratory, and factory or on site, or possibly a mixture of several of these. Conditions may be hot, dusty or cramped, although most electrical engineers work in comfortable offices. So I would be able to work for any condition. But for mental condition I am looking for peaceful environment. So I would be able to work for any condition because all depended in money. Education or Training: Education requirements for electrical engineers differ depending on the level of position being sought as well as the employer. Engineers usually need a four-year bachelor's degree in this field through a college or university. A two-year master's degree can be helpful for those who want to advance in engineering field. It’s about digital systems and allows students to complete research. Doctoral degree is for those interested in university teaching or high-level industrial research. Courses in an electrical engineering training program
