There are a couple threats to Clarion County Children and Youth Services that I would like to go over. First and foremost, the biggest threat to this organization Is the change of leadership. The change of leader must be a threat because each caseworker out in the field stands a chance of being sued by our clients for things we may need to do in the field. The caseworkers need to know that the director of the organization has their back, or this can create an unsteady foundation in the organization. The caseworkers may be concerned that they are not protected and may not enforce some of the laws or practices of the organization because a fear of being sued; which will definitely affect the followership of the employees. Competency, which is a value of Level 5 leadership in which you are striving towards a goal or objective. This leadership strength helped the caseworkers to focus on an end goal for their work with each family and helped to build a solid family plan on how to achieve that goal. Family plans further helped to manifest this goal through smaller more achievable goals for the families to see in a shorter time frame, this helped to build an achievable objective. A second strength from this leadership style that was seen from the leadership was an effective style of leadership (Daft, 2014). The high standards that were set for us, the caseworkers, were in affect; To champion a vision for each of our families. This directive was given to us by a Judge and then our departments would work towards those visions for the families by creating a set of more achievable goals that were the vision in its entirety.
