According to the results of the Life Style Inventory (LSI) exercise, my “primary” personal thinking styles are as follows: Humanistic-Encouraging, Self Actualizing, Approval and Dependent. These four styles were ranked the highest out of the twelve styles within my LSI results. Each style consists of its own characteristics. Some of these styles were obvious, while other were surprising.

The first style that was very obvious to me was Humanistic-Encouraging. According to the LSI guide, Humanistic-Encouraging characteristic are optimism for what people can accomplish, concern for growth and improvements and the willingness to help, inspire and motivate others with self-improvement. I agree that I fully embody Humanistic-Encouraging style. I have taken various personality and leadership test. These test always conclude that I am humanistic. I am very optimistic about the support that I can offer others in various areas where the lack encouragement. My optimism is what drives me to see the future potential growth and accomplishments with in others. Within, the work place I am the “helper” co-worker. If anyone needs assistance, I will be there. After, helping some of my co-workers, I usually develop good workplace relationships that blossom into friendships outside of the workplace.

This was another style that I know embodies me. Self-Actualizing is described as someone who has an energetic spirit, values freedom, and values self-development. I have always been invested in myself by being energetic and free. Also, by making changes in my life that work towards my development. Energy creates freedom for me to explore different perspectives and elements within life. This energy makes me happy and joyful. I take pride in evaluating my personal development and plan for success daily. The need for success and fulfillment in life drives my Self-Actualizing
