Romeo and Juliet is a play written by Shakespeare in the late sixteenth century. Romeo and Juliet is a play about the love between two people whose families hate each other. One day Romeo uninvitedly goes into the Capulet's party and meets Juliet and they secretly get married, which leads to a battle between families resulting in Mercutio's death. Romeo vengefully goes after the murderer, Tybalt, and kills him. After Juliet hears of the banishment of Romeo, she becomes in a depressed state, and makes a plan to get a drink that will make her die for some time so she doesn't have to marry Paris, Romeo doesn’t know about Juliet's plan so when he sees her dead he drinks poison so he will die, Juliet awakens when Romeo is dead lying by her so she …show more content…
The play exemplifies how loyalty is important and necessary for them to be together, even after death. Friar Lawrence showed an abundance of loyalty in the game. Friar weds Romeo and Juliet, trying to end the family feud between the Montague and Capulet families. “These violent delights have violent ends and in their triumph die, like fire and powder”(2.6.9-10). In that scene Romeo was getting ready for Juliet to show for their wedding and Friar and Romeo were talking about the wedding. Friar was talking to Romeo about how love is and asking him if he was really ready to wed. That shows the amount of loyalty since he knew the trouble he could get into for the wedding of Romeo and Juliet without people approving. Friar risks his job to wed Juliet and Romeo so their family feud can end. Friar Lawrence and his loyal act alongside the acts of others allowed Romeo and Juliet to get married and be together.
