In modern times, it’s very easy to communicate with one another with an endless list of devices such as mobile phone, radios, satellite and EPEIBS ect. However, Romeo and Juliet’s lethal miss communication problems are still very present today. Themes such as love, hate, courage, desperation, revenge, loyalty and communication are all all found in the love tragedy Romeo and Juliet. The themes from Romeo and Juliet still have a large impact on everybody’s lives to date and this is why the play is still studied today.

Miss communication is a major issue throughout the play, which drastically changes the characters emotions and the action they take that does lead to devastating events, displaying Shakespeare’s relevance in today’s world. Evidence

In today’s world loyalty is found everywhere from Australia to Africa. There is a great amount of evidence of Loyalty in the play of Romeo and Juliet. Evidence of this could be when Romeo is trying to stop Tybalt fighting him for peace to happen between Romeo and Juliet’s family’s showing his loyalty to Juliet, when Tybalt’s temper blows he tries to stab Romeo but the sword goes under his arm and stabs Mercutio. Tybalt runs and Mercutio swears on both the Capulets and Montagues. Romeos loyalty Mercutio is shown when he hunts down Tybalt and kills him cause Romeo to become banished. In the real world loyalty is best shown in life or death situations such as an army Battalion. During post world war two, an Irish UN battalion was posted in central Africa as peace keepers. The region was ruled by an African war tribe lead by Russian mercenary’s attempting to create their own province but was limited due to politics with the UN. The battalion was swamped with the African war tribe and were refused help by United Nations due to political ties with the regions ware tribe. Many lives could have been saved but due to political ties many men died and the region was over run.
