Abstract

In this paper I will explore the subject media and the effect on today’s society. The research information was gathered from two websites. The role the media plays in delivering the media to the public is an important fact covered in this essay. The significance of news media on culture and society is huge and changing from day to day. Many changes have taken place over the last century. Technology has evolved and continues change. Most homes own at least one computer, I pod, I phone, and I pad. The average household has at least one big screen television and one or two DVD players, and Blue Ray players. These devices allow for easy access to information. Over the last century we have evolved into a technology driven community. Most things are guided by technology and without it we may appear lost or disconnected. Previously news was gathered through more traditional sources such as the television or newspapers.
The effect of relationships among television, movies, and electronic games with culture this affects many avenues of entertainment and news media. Television, radio and the Internet all relate in many ways. Movies can be viewed on the Internet, in the movie theatres, on cell phones, and many other devices. Radio also can be heard on the Internet, in the car or just about anywhere on the cell phones, MP3 players. In the video game age, there is still a relationship between entertainments, music and of course, to view these games on the television because they all have music and movie affects in most of these games.
