Comparison Essay Being trapped on an island with a murder could be dangerous. Both Ralph and Rainsford were trapped on an island with Jack and General Zaroff, the murders. Jack and General Zaroff both symbolize violence in Lord of the Flies and in “The Most Dangerous Game”, by Zaroff killing humans, Zaroff is a hunter, and Jack gets Piggy ,and Simon killed. In “The Most Dangerous Game”, General Zaroff is a hunter, and to be a hunter you have to be a little violent or you wouldn’t be able to kill a living thing. “Mounted heads of many animals…I have but one passion in my life, Mr. Rainsford, and that is to hunt” said General Zaroff” (page 27&28).” This is a common incident throughout the short story. It states that he has a ton of animal heads from his hunting trips. It also says the he has read books on hunting. In “The Most Dangerous Game”, General Zaroff is a killer. There is no way that you can kill humans without being violent, “I wanted the ideal animal to hunt… it must be able to reason..said General Zaroff”Good God, General Zaroff, what you speak of is murder…”, Rainsford said that(page 30).” He says that got tired of hunting real game until he started to hunt humans which makes him a murder. …show more content…
