The project installation required great precision and due diligence. The budget constraints necessitated that we begin with a feasibility study, usage and load calculations. I used a 16-bit processor instead of a 32-bit processor with the cost constraints in mind. While designing and assembling the components I made sure that the main board is compatible with all types of encoders because, during my engineering studies, I learned the importance of universal compatibility and synchronization. I used PC or console for programming and varying the parameters to align the performance of the elevator as per end user demands like setting ideal door speed, door closing and opening times. In the designing and testing of the cop and lops, I tested different types of displays like seven segment display, dot matrix display, programmable LCD displays under different temperatures and climatic conditions.
