Can you imagine storing your social security number on a data base that gives you limited access to such sensitive information? Cloud computing has significant risk factors that we should be aware of before storing personal and critical information on the cloud. Point one, information stored in the cloud can be accessed by a third party. Point two, you have limited control of the information that you store on the cloud. Imagine losing a password or being locked out a network without any way of getting that information back? Is that information more vulnerable to hackers?
Supporting evidence is that many networks don't have a backup server that allows you to recovery lost information, or when even when you are able to recovery your password it also requires you to add additional information to the cloud service which only adds to the vulnerability of the customer or the user. This evidence supports the point because once your information is saved into a database it is vulnerable to anyone that can hack into the system. And some systems use passwords recoveries just to retrieve more information of the individual which makes them more vulnerable to hackers.
The counterargument is that though using cloud computing service has its risk factors it is also beneficial to big/small organizations and other competitors. Though you are taking a safety risk, using the cloud computing system saves loss of money and is a very easy and efficient way to save lots of information without having to hand write everything. And saves the companies billions of dollars. This is a great tool for companies moving out of the age of saving copies of paper in folders when they have millions of
