Nursing is a good career choice because healthcare positions are high in demand, there are jobs all over the world, they make incredible wages, and they have flexible schedules. Some might say there are many negative reasons that outweigh the positive reasons why the nursing profession is a great career choice, but there are more positive reasons why this is a great career choice.
The healthcare field is very high in demand and the industry is growing. There is a shortage of qualified nursing across the world mainly in the South and West. In fact, nursing schools are taking many steps in making sure that there becomes more qualified nurses (Villanovau). Also, people are going to always need nurses around. People are going to always need someone to give them their medication, or need to be watched overnight to make sure nothing goes wrong with their body. People get sick every day and they are going to until the day they pass away. There can never be too many nurses. Hospitals are running short staffed most of the …show more content…
What if a job is holding someone back because they can not go without one? Well nursing has jobs all over the world you don’t go to a state and there not be a hospital or a medical center anywhere. There is going to be a hospital in every state so there should not be any problem finding a job with the nursing field. There are many different types of hospitals also like registered hospitals, community hospitals, long term care hospitals, non-profit government hospitals. There are thousands and hundreds of each kind. According to the American Hospital Association the total number of registered hospitals in the U.S. is 5,686. The number of Community Hospitals is 4,974, Non Government Not-For-Profit Hospitals is 2,904 (aha.org).
