*WOOSH!* The intense cold breeze blew hard against us, nearly knocking my friend, Tyler, over. We walked down the stone streets of Quebec, heading to a close-by store. For the first time on this trip, we were on our own, completely responsible for our own safety and well-being. Not too long before this, back at our hotel, we were getting ready to leave as our teacher, Mrs. Thomas, was telling us what we would be doing. “Okay everyone, for the next four hours, you can do whatever you want, anything from exploring the streets, going to stores, going to eat, or even staying in your room. The only rule is you have to stay in the boundaries that we showed you earlier,” Mrs. Thomas explained. For the trip we were in groups of four, my group was Tyler, Conner, Will, and me. Tyler and I decided to go out and see the town, while Conner and Will stayed in the room. As we stepped outside the cool breeze sent shivers down out spines. We walked down the beautiful streets looking at each building as we went and took in the different culture. “No thank you, we’re fine,” replied Tyler. We then went and looked around at the different items they had. I found a shirt that said “Quebec” across it and Tyler found a hockey hoodie. As we began to walk up to the cashier a man stopped us. He looked down at us and said, “Hello kids, looks like you found some cool stuff
