Throughout a debate, there are two sides. Then main objective for both sides is to try to prove why one side is right and why the other side is wrong. In a figurative sense, in this particular situation, I was one side and the world around me was the other. It was just two hours before the bus was going to leave and my adrenaline had just kicked in. I was overwhelmed by the idea of winning a debate competition for the first time only to remember I couldn’t go. Debate lead the course of my high school career.
