While professional athletes are making more than one million dollars a year, teachers in Oklahoma are making an average of 35,000 dollars a year. Overall professional athletes are being paid too much.

First of all, according to Bleacher Report, one should be paid according to the job’s importance. This is true because doctors, firemen, and policemen are saving more lives than anyone and they deserve getting paid more. They deserve getting paid more because they are put in very dangerous situations. People in the military are also putting their lives in danger and they might not come home, but they are still not getting paid more than professional athletes. While athletes are playing and having fun, regular people are risking their lives for us to make our country safe.
