School Shooting Research Paper

In the time that is today, school shootings are sadly a pandemic. Cases such as Sandy Hook, Parkland, and Columbine. Life of today can be scary and confusing for these students. There have been 17 cases of school shootings up till March 24, 2018, as CNN Saeed Ahmed wrote. This possess such a major problem that teachers are going on strike and civilians are petitioning for teachers to have special training before they go further into a teaching carrier. People can have many different reasonable ideas on this topic and how it can be fixed. Law enforcement and teachers alike should be trained and enlightened on the inner workings of these shootings, how they happened, why they happened, and how to prevent them.

This has had to be the case lately with stuff like this. Life as people know it today has changed from fifty years ago for the worse. No one really knows how to avoid it without going through it first. Some people say teachers should have a firearm in every classroom. The big problem others find in that is that it just increases the likelihood of someone finding the gun and attacking. Another is guns being taken away from people and destroyed or given to the army. This than leaves the people defenseless and weak with nothing to protect them except for their own two hands to take action. THe amount of gun violence or just violence in general in the day to day television shows or movies that people watch is astounding. SOmeone could easily flip to a show with violence in it so easy it is ridiculous. Writer David Beard says, “I’d be happy to replace the duel between Vader and Skywalker with a really tense conversation over a cup of coffee, ending with a handshake. I want us to rewrite the script.” (Conservancy) Now this is something a lot of people do not agree with one another about.
