Animal Testing for new Medical Treatment
Do you feel that animal testing should be allowed? Imagine the greatness from animal testing that can help a human beings. Animal testing is any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced to undergo something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm (cruelty free international). These different kinds of animals are sacrificed for our wellness. If animals testing works on animals then it should work on humans.
Descriptions of the dissection of live animals have been found in ancient Greek writings from as early as circa 500 BC. Physician-scientists such as Aristotle, Herophilus, and Erasistratus performed the experiments to discover the functions of

Animal research treatments has been used to save or develop lives of many people globally. Another breakthrough in animal research is the medicines. Penicillin was a the number one medicine that cured many infections in the early 1900s. Eight mice were infected with a deadly dose of 110 million streptococci bacteria. One hour later, four of them were injected with penicillin. These survived but the untreated ones died (Speaking of Research).
Animals are also used to learn more about living things and about the illnesses that affect human beings and other animals. Animals often make better research subjects than human beings because of their shorter life cycles. An example of an animal being a better test subjects is a mice. Mice lifespan is around two to three years, so researchers can study the effects of treatments or genetic control over a whole lifespan, or across certain generations, which would be impossible using human subjects (ProCon.org).
Animal testing should not be allowed because if researchers do not provide animal testing people could possibly die. Using animals in research is a matter to some; however,
