The space program is one of the most unique and historic moments for many people in the United stated. From sending man into space to landing on the moon and showing everyone around the world that the United States can do it. There were many ways that Florida itself was affected and influenced by the space program. Florida itself is already known as a big place for tourism because of the various beaches and hotspots, but the space program set it off. Florida was chosen because it is a safe and secure place for astronauts and civilians. Since the years president Kennedy has died the space program has not got the sufficient funds needed to accomplish some of their goals. Such as find out some of the reasons that their rockets continue to blow up like Apollo 13 when all civilians on the aircraft blew up and died, but some lawmakers do not see the need for the space program to continue. When the government cuts funding to the space program scientists can not develop ways to get to mars or finds ways for people to one day live in space. I think they also wanted the rest of the world to see it because the creators hoped that everyone would see it and the ideas that it communicates is victory because the US was finally able to launch a rocket into space.At the time of this video Florida looked extremely different than it does now. People were dressed in different clothing than what people wear now and their hair is very different. Most all of the people in the video had a short haircut and gelled back hair. Since the video was in black and white I can tell that colored television probably wasn’t created or was used commonly yet. Most of the people had a old time retro look which is not how people look now they look more laid back. The space program has done a lot for Florida and for science itself. The space program has shown the various things that it can accomplish for the United States and the world. If
