Chapter one begins by talking about how most people begin to be thought as normal or typical, but is not true for millions of children. The chapter goes in depth on how we have to see the person not the disability and used specific words to describe that person instead of labeling them as an autistic students instead we say a pupil with autism.as I read I learn many new terms such as exceptional students which is often used to identify students who differ from the norm to a extend that requires special education services, but that doesn’t mean that he will required special education if his identified as exceptional. When reading the chapter I read on how society discriminates individuals who are handicap and how that affects there full participation
