The Boston Tea Party (referred as “The destruction of the tea in Boston” ) by John Adams was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston on December 16, 1773. There were a lot of fanatics in the Boston Tea Party. People would smuggle tea, and tax collectors would get tarred and feathered. During the Boston Tea Party the Sons of Liberty dumped 92,000 pounds (about 46 tons) of tea in the Boston Harbor. That much tea is worth $2.6 million today.
