In the story 'THE HELP' Minny’s character contrasts greatly with the one we see in the film. Firstly, in the book Minny is abused by her husband because Mr.Willam fires him from his job on saying of Mrs. Hilly. Similarly, in the film they show how she was abused, but not in detail as in why she was getting abused by him. In some ways this complicates the theme.
