The Importance Of Volunteering In School

My attendance is not perfect because I had been absent three times. the dates were 10/11/16, 11/03/16, and 11/15/16. There was another date in the beginning of September that would have been the first day I will be volunteering there. I had asked Tais Gonzalez, the volunteer administrator, if I can work on that day even though my days were Tuesdays and Thursdays. The day before I had reminded my mom that I will not be home because I will be volunteering and my mom forgot that we did not have school that day and told me that I will need to stay and take care of my sister. I immediately emailed Tais, since she is in charge of our schedules. I notified her and gave her the reason why I was going to be absent, I thought that they will be understanding, also because since that day was not my scheduled day. The other two days I was absent was due to events I was obligated to attend. On 11/03/16 there was a volleyball game at 4:40 pm which was during my volunteer hours, I had asked Bryan Espinoza to take my place, I had advised both Tais and Christine of this event a week before and I had reminded them a day before and the day of. Christine advised me that I had used another one of my unexcused absence because they had no email of proof that stated that I would not be in. They reprimanded me but I stood up tall and told them that I had emailed them of my absence. I forwarded them the emails I had sent them, and Christine had apologized to me. On 11/15/16 I was absent because I had a field trip to the MET for AP English, I had asked Jaime Lee if we can switch days for that week because she had a trip on Friday which was also her day to volunteer. We both agreed and advised Tais of our switch for the week in order not to cause confusion on both Tais and Christine. They understood and told us that it will not be counted as an unexcused
