In high school, I was a mediocre student that did not have much direction in terms of what I wanted to pursue. By my senior year, I decided on being a physician assistant and went on to apply to eight schools. I was admitted to all eight, however, I made the mistake of applying to schools that I knew I had a good chance of being admitted to.
