The movie tells that five totally different high school students are forced to spend a Saturday detention together in the library. They have nothing in common, and they don’t know each other, except the jock and the prom queen. Each kid stands for a typical stereotype in high school, a brain, a prom queen, a jock, a criminal, and a basket case. A unique bond connects them together with different emotions fermented in each of them after a whole day. All the five of them will remember that Saturday, they spend time talking with each other and learning each other. They will remember they are from the breakfast club. In the movie, the jock thinks Bender doesn’t even count as a student. It would never make any difference even if he disappears, like never existing in this school. And they think all the clubs, and the students union will reject Bender. The basket case is one of the neglected adolescents, that is what is means, children who receive relatively little attention from their peers in the form of either positive or negative interactions. Peers always ignore her, and they even think she can’t talk. The basket case girl is also an example of undersocialized delinquents , that is what is means, adolescent delinquents who are raised with little discipline or with harsh, uncaring parental supervision. After her parent drops her off at school gate, the parent leave without saying a word. Apparently, she is raised with uncaring parental supervision, leading to her antisocial behaviors. The prom queen and the jock both are under peer pressure, which means the influence of one’s peers to conform to their behavior and attitudes. Clair has to go along with everything her friends
