In the film “The breakfast club”, a group of teenagers have to go to saturday school detention, all of the teens come from different social groups. In the movie, the social groups are the princess, the jock, the nerd/brain, the basket-case and the criminal. The film reflects highschool as we know it because of the social groups and how they want to bring the best out of themselves and act like they are better than one another. In high school, everyone wants to stand out but also fit in. Although the film was made in 1985, it is still very popular with teens today. I believe the film is still popular because when teens watch the movie, they apply it to their lives and are able to relate to one/all to the characters.
The struggles with adolescence can range, most teens don’t get along with their parents or they are struggling finding out who they are. The teens in the movie ask each other about their home life, & their relationship with their parents. The Athletes parents/Andrew are always forcing him to do good in sports and pushing him to be a champion. The

In the end, what results is a friendship and a life changing experience for all five of these students. Of course, as always in high school, love connections spark, but here in strange ways. Claire gives Allison a little make over, which catches Andrew’s attention. He had been interested in getting to know Allison throughout the movie, and what ended up happening when everyone went on their merry little way, was them kissing. And not to change her weirdness too much, she rips a patch off of Andrew’s jacket before departing each other. As for Bender, he somehow manages to win Claire over and they end up kissing at the end of the day. She places one of her diamond earrings in his hand before she gets in the car and leaves; he ends up putting it on his
