In A Long Walk To Water by Linda Sue Park, the character Salva Dut survives many challenges using different techniques. In the novel Salva has to face many difficulties which has hugely affected his life, Salva carries himself through these difficulties using his perseverance and having hope along with many other components. Salva story began when his school and villages near were attacked in 1985, Salva tries his best to escape from the uprising war and tries his best to stay alive. While doing this, Salva experiences a lot of difficult things and has to overcome them by pushing through and being strong emotionally and physically.
