The author of the book A Long Walk To Water has a tone for Salva, a very interesting one. Salva’s tone is miserable, Salva is just miserable out there in the wild and he justs want to be with his family, quite frankly that's all Salva wants, is to be with his family. I know Salva is miserable because he said even taking a sip of water was miserable, “taking only tiny sips, when his body cried out for huge gulps of thirst-quenching, life-giving, water.” When Salva was walking in the desert he claimed that every few minutes of walking felt like hours upon hours of walking in the hot desert.
