Egyptian culture is well known due to the hefty impact that its mythology has had on the world. These ancient tales of gods and other world-like beings shows researchers today how their agriculture and religion must have been like then. One of the more famous mythological stories had to have been the “Story of Osiris, Isis, and Horus”, or better known as the “Egyptian Myth of Creation”. Three major deities in the story, whom are Osiris, Isis, and Horus, all have major parts in the tale. They all represent a major part in Egyptian religion which is still being unfolded to this very day.
Osiris was the first born of both Geb and Nut, who were both gods. He was crowned as the old king of Egypt since he was the first born. In the tale of Egyptian myth, his brother Set, had murdered him due to jealousy of being the king. Osiris was renounced as the God of the dead or underworld. Due time, his wife, Isis, had brought him back to life for a short period of time so then he may fertilize her. Osiris’ was a very important figure to all Egyptians. He was seen as the god of both the dead and agriculture. People praised him so since they believed that he had brought barley to their land. Barley is used primarily for food, which kept the population on a full stomach.

She was the sister and wife of Osiris who was the old king of Egypt. Before Osiris had been murdered by Set, they both happily ruled over Egypt. After the incident of her husband murder, she had decided to use her powers to bring him back to life to only give birth to their only son Horus. Once Horus had aged to a mature age, she helped him in his trials against Set to crown himself the king of Egypt. Isis is religiously praised by the people of Egypt since she is known as the goddess of protection. People in need prayed for her help. In return, she would use her “magic” to help those in
