In this essay I will talk about how Greek Mythology started and how it goes into the beginning of Greek Philosophy. The folklore about Greek Gods and Goddesses in ancient Greece had become an important part of everyday life. In Greek mythology the earliest Greek myths were included as part of tradition which had started from the Early Helladic Era.
It is said that before greek philosophy came about there were people such as poets, storytellers, and myth-makers. I feel that the role myth plays in molding the world-view or pre-philosophical ancient Greece are the beautiful stories and hymns about people whether they are normal everyday people, heroes/heroins and/or Gods. I love how the days of the week are named after certain Gods and also so are the planets in our solar system. This also shows me that mythology has given and shown me satisfactory answers about the origin and structure of the universe. So with that these thirty-six unknown hymns were know as the Homeric Hymns.
