In the United States we live in a culture that is made up of so many different cultures. The fact that we can find a vast variety of cultures that implies different needs to accommodate those in need. In the healthcare environment I believe it is important to be culturally competent in order to offer a better service. The state that the individual that is offering a service plays an important factor because if he belongs to a different culture to the ones that are dominant at least in the area of where he will be working at, he or she will need to be culturally sensitive.
