My Leadership Philosophy

The first step in developing a leadership philosophy that will be pushed throughout the organization would be to identify the most important leadership values. The leadership philosophy that would like to incorporate into my organization focuses on three areas; personal values, assumptions and beliefs. Personal values are characteristics that are important to eh business to be successful. Your values guide your intentions and they influence how you lead. The next attribute that we will look at is the assumption to be what you think are true. As a leader you will need to be aware of what assumptions your leadership team is thinking. By continuing surveying the landscape of the business new business practices will be reviewed and adapted to the leadership philosophy. Another area that the leadership philosophy is oriented for growth is by reviewing both professionals and personal development. Within business there can be internal and external actions that will create dilemma for leadership. Having a leadership philosophy outlined can help direct the reactions to those dilemmas.

For any company there will need to be a clear definition to what success looks like. For my organization success will be when the company achieves; working capital in the bank, solid employee coverage for all departments, low employee turnover, sustainable business operations, and cutting edge product offerings. In order to roll out this success plan we will need to make sure that it is specific. By having a specific plan you have more favorable responses. Clear, focused, concise plans have a higher chance of being accomplished compared to a general goal. Another area for success is that it is measurable. Having the ability to measure success establishes dates, dollars, and timelines. Adding clarity to our measurable goals will be important. If a goal is not attainable then people will not attempt to accomplish it. By having cutting edge products and sustainable operations these are examples of attainable goals that can be accomplished.
