Effects of stress throughout the lifespan on the brain, behavior and cognition states that there is a duration period that stress has effects on the brain and that is it sometimes dependent on what stage of life you are in, it is also stated that different disorders may emerge from this stress. (Lupien, S. J., McEwen, B. S., Gunnar, M. R., & Heim, C. (2009). Effects of stress throughout the lifespan on the brain, behaviour and cognition) The stages of life more easily affected also coincide with the stages in life that a person would be more susceptible to any other contagious diseases. As you think about the times a person is more susceptible to other diseases lets discuss the stages.
Research shows that certain stages of our life we are more susceptible to stress and the effects on our brains and bodies. The most prone stages are childhood and old age, they are more vulnerable because they go through important changes during these stages. The stages include prenatal, adolescence, and elderly that I will be discussing.

Adolescence stress is a time when a body will start to mature at a rapid pace and while the pace may be different for everyone there are a lot of changes quickly occurring in the first year of life a baby grows faster than they do in any other stage in life. They have a delayed rise of glucocortaids with a prolonged
