I’m interested to join Teacher Cadet Program next year because I’ve always known the teaching profession would be my career path. It seems only natural to enrol as a Teacher Cadet to give my career as an educator a head start. It will be extremely beneficial to my future studies to have a hands-on background in teaching. I feel it will open up more possibilities and introduce me to the many aspects of the education system. Teaching has always been in my life ever since I was a child. Education is a common profession in my family. My grandfather has a PhD in Education and was teacher, Principal and Superintendant of schools for many years before he retired. I have an uncle who is a High School Principal. My Aunt has a master’s degree in Special Education. My Mother works for the School District of Oconee County as a Behavior Therapist at Northside Elementary. I would like to carry on our family tradition to dedicate my life to educate and influence the youth of our community. Education and history is something I’ve always interested in for quite awhile. I am positive that I am making a good decision for choosing my passion for history and dedication for promoting quality public education to influence my final education and career choice for my future.
