The people in our lives played important roles in our personal growth.Relationships with others allow us to understand and see ourselves more clearly.In walk two moons by Sharon creech,Sal is able to accept her mother's death through the influence of Mrs.partridge and gram and Gramps. According to the text Sal said “one day i realized that our whole trip to lewiston had been a gift from gram and gramps to me , they were giving me a chance to walk in my mother moccasins - to see what she had seen (creech 276). From this quote i know that “sometimes you know in your heart you love someone but you have to go away before your heart can figure it out.” The author says “gram and gramps knew i wanted to see mama , but i was afraid to (creech pg. 5).his From this quote i realized that gram and gramps care about Sal enough to let her figure out her mother's death and see what she saw.To sum it up , gram and gramps made a positive impact on Sal's life and helped her accept her mother's death. In conclusion , in walk two moons , Sal was able to accept her mother's death.Sharon creech’s motive for including the theme “relationships impact or change people” was to support that even though it hurt everybody they still stuck with Sal to help her deal with her mother's death.This theme impacts the reader/me because it makes me think of how my life is and when we were reading the book i had a really strong connection with the message “you can't stop the birds of sadness” because it makes me think of when my best friend moved
