The confederation articles was first written by the United States. Congress was able to give the right agreement and also a partnership, building armed forces and taxes. “The central government lacked on the skill to taxes and the issue that led to constitutional convention in 1787 for the creation of new federal laws”. The congress felt that they needed to build a stronger army to defeat Great Britain. The articles of confederation was to create a confederation of states where each state had equal rights, and “it’s authority, freedom, every-power, and legal rights”.

The U.S. constitution set America’s national government and fundamental laws, set certain rights for citizens. Before the national government made constitution laws it was very weak. It was signed on September 17, 1787 by delegates to the constitutional convention in Philadelphia, presided over by George Washington.” In the 1787 convention, delegates a plan for a stronger federal government with three branches-executive, legislative and judicial-along with a system of checks and balances to ensure no single branch would have to much power.
