Why Girls Should Not Have Dress Codes

Dress Code

The dress code is a very complicated issue because teachers and students have different ideas about it. Teachers believe that wearing short shorts or tank tops would make the boys distracted and not get a good enough education, at least that's what they have said. But on the other side, girls get more distracted because they are too worried about getting in trouble by wearing shorts that are a thumbnail too short. Really, teachers should not reinforce the dress code as much. Girls also need an education, as well as guys. Some reason they are taking the dress code too far are; one of the teachers in my school who has taken the dress code ten times too far, students not being allowed to wear a shirt in remembrance of a student who past away, and that even though they do it for education, girls are worrying too much about it so they don’t pay as much attention.
One reason that the dress code is going way too far is because to the point where a teacher in my school's dress coding other teachers and boys. Its not like the teachers are wearing shorts that hike all the way up, they go down quite far. She walked up and said “put you hands by your side” so she did, and her shorts went a thumbnail above the tip of her thumb (they have to go to the end of your thumb.) Being a girl myself, I always worry about getting dress coded, even when my shorts are perfectly fine. Also, even though some guys would stare at places they shouldn't be (you all should know where,) we have rules like not being able to wear tank tops that are thinner than two finger, it's not like they are going to stare at our shoulders. There is nothing wrong with showing shoulders. Its something everyone has. So why can't we show
