What if students didn’t have to worry about paying for college, but only attending college? Students today aren’t motivated to attend a college or a university due to worrying about their financial status. We have seen in the past decade how tuitions for universities have exceeded and it’s not fair for students born in this century. I believe that the first two years of college should be free for all American citizens because students will be more motivated to attend college since it will expand access to higher education. In addition, the more educated population we produce, the more positive ripple effects towards our economy will be seen. Firstly, students in High School want to go to college but they are hesitant due to the reality of the enormous cost of attending a college or university. A lot of young individuals today are discouraged by seeing the prices of tuition and worrying if they can even go to any college due to whatever financial situation they are in. In society, today unemployed and uneducated people take a toll on the government. Sadly, the government is reliable and provides financial assistance to these group of people. Due to these individuals social, economic status they are unable to be pursue a degree or career and fulfill their full potential. This is why by creating an opportunity for these individuals it will help them acquire a career which will benefit the country’s economy.
