Kindergarten and Elementary School Teacher Calla is a fourth grader who was almost never focused and never turned in her school work on time. When her teacher approached her about it she did not say anything and ignored the question her teacher asked completely. Her teacher noticed that she also seemed very upset lately and asked her why she was so upset . Calla responded that her father had recently past away and she now had to help her mother take care of her two baby brothers and younger sister and did not have as much time to do her school work. Teachers work , depending on the state, anywhere from eight to ten hours a day, Monday through Friday. They also may have to do work, such as grading tests, after school , on the weekends and even holidays. The salary of the teacher depends on their schooling and their experience. Most new teachers only get paid 35,000 dollars a year,most teachers get payed around the median salary of 50,000 dollars. After graduating college it is suggested to take summer classes , it increases the salary the teacher makes (“Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance” 188).Being and Elementary school teacher requires some special training. English as a second language teachers must be fluent in an language. Some schools also encourage that you earn a master's degree while you teach to increase your salary. In most schools you have to get a background check and every school requires you to be.Teachers must be skilled in things other than a core subject. Teachers must patient , creative, and resourceful.
