Although the athletes that want to get better and care about sports will stay in school, paying them could get the athletes to stay in school for all four years. If we pay players, we will give them a reason to stay at their school. If we want our athletes to stay in school, we should give them a reason, such as pay them, to make them want to stay (Peebles). College athletes do not have anything holding them back from leaving college and playing professionally.
