Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 02:28 am. I observed a tan Buick Le Sabre (MS tag JGC219) traveling south on Ladner road dragging something under the front of the vehicle throwing sparks onto the road. I initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of 3009 Ladner Rd. (K&A gas station). I made contact with the driver Katina Towne, and could smell a strong odor of an intoxicating liquor emitting from the vehicle. I also could smell the odor of marijuana emitting form vehicle. I asked Towne for her driver’s license and she stated she did not have one. After running her social security number, dispatch advised her license to operate a vehicle were suspended. Towne speech was slurred and her eyes were blood shot and her pupils were dilated as I was …show more content…
I arrested him on the warrant. While performing a search to incident of arrest, I found a clear plastic bag containing marijuana in his left front pants pocket. I asked Alexander if that was his and he advised it was his. When asked whose marijuana it was that was found in the driver door, both Towne and Alexander denied ownership.
Officer Williams arrested Towne for DUI, simple possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. Towne was charged with the marijuana that was found in the door, being it was with in her wing span. I arrested Alexander for his warrant and charged him with simple possession of marijuana. Once at the station, I administered the Intoxilyzer 8000 machine to determine Towne’s BrAC. Towne refused to provide a breath sample. The clear plastic bag of marijuana that was found in the driver door weighed 3.1 grams and the marijuana found in Alexander’s pocket weighed 3.3 grams. After looking closer to was dragging the road on the car, I determined it to be part of the vehicle’s undercarriage. There was also fresh damage to the front left fender were the headlight is located. Templet towed Alexander’s vehicle and a vehicle inventory tow report was completed and attached to the report.
